Tuning Your Frequency

How to Align with the Energy of What You’re Moving Toward

READ THE JOURNAL

Tuning into Possibility: The Ibiza Radio

It started in Ibiza, with a small USB-powered radio tucked in the corner of the house. As I moved through different rooms, I noticed the signal changed depending on where I stood, the time of day, or how I held the device. I wasn’t searching for anything in particular, just scanning for something specifically Spanish. I’ve always loved listening to the radio wherever I go because it grounds me in a place. But that experience marked something deeper… tuning your frequency isn’t just about radio waves; it’s about perception, intuition, and subtle energetic alignment.

Before I travel, I often find myself tuning in before I arrive, noticing what kind of music I’m drawn to, how I prep or pack, and even what images and textures fill my mood boards. It’s a subtle form of orientation, an energetic way of syncing with the frequency of a place before physically entering it. Different from the programmed stations you pick up in the car, this old-school radio dial mirrored something profound.

The Essence of Tuning Your Frequency

Tuning your frequency means shifting perspective, attention, and internal state to better match the life you’re calling in. It’s not about forcing. It’s about receiving. Manifestation, at its core, is perceptual alignment. Roxie Nafousi, in Manifest, writes that manifestation begins with clarity, belief, and aligned actions—all of which are states we can intentionally tune into. 1

When you shift your focus, your internal “receiver” begins to perceive new possibilities. It’s an essential framework for anyone ready to create real, grounded change. It’s an invitation to recalibrate how you move through the world and begin shaping reality from within.

The Analog Analogy

Tuning a radio is a perfect metaphor for this inner work.

AM (Amplitude Modulation) travels far but picks up static. It mirrors survival mode’s broad scanning for threats, easily disrupted.

FM (Frequency Modulation) is cleaner and richer but requires precision. This is presence. Regulated nervous system. Clarity.

Crystal radios, needing no power, represent intuitive reception. Deep listening. No forcing. Only stillness and sensitivity.

Your perception is a dial. What you attune to shapes what you experience.

Receiving: The Mechanics of Energy & Signal

Analog radios require fine-tuned alignment to a specific frequency to receive a clear broadcast. Similarly, our attention and emotional state act like a receiver. When our inner state, with our thoughts, feelings, and nervous system regulation, is aligned, we begin to receive new inputs of possibilities, people, ideas, and opportunities.

From a neuroscience perspective, tuning your frequency changes what you notice. Your brain’s reticular activating system (RAS) prioritizes inputs aligned with your beliefs and intentions. If you tune into beauty, you’ll see more of it. If you tune into fear, you’ll collect evidence of threat. Your focus becomes your signal amplifier.

This system also plays a role in cognitive bias, particularly confirmation bias and selective attention. Once a belief is internalized, your RAS helps filter reality to support it, reinforcing what you already assume is true, and often overlooking what contradicts it. 2

Broadcasting: You’re Already a Transmitter

You’re not just receiving; you are also transmitting. Your energy, beliefs, and emotional patterns send out a signal.

Joe Dispenza writes that the quantum field doesn’t respond to what we want, but to who we are. 3 If we’re broadcasting from scarcity, fear, or chaos, we magnetize more of the same. When we shift into coherence, when the mind and heart align, we begin attracting realities that reflect this new signal.

Bruce Lipton echoes this in The Biology of Belief, noting that 95% of our behaviors stem from subconscious programming. 4 The signal we emit is not just conscious thought but deep internal patterning.

Familiar Frequencies, Subconscious Loops

Even when clarity is available, many of us stay tuned to static. Not because we enjoy the noise, but because it’s familiar. According to Bruce Lipton, most of our subconscious programming develops before the age of seven and continues to influence our behaviors long after that. These early emotional imprints become the background hum of our lives or the frequency we unconsciously broadcast and attract.

Change threatens that familiar hum. That’s why some people resist tuning to a clearer signal—not because they don’t want more, but because the static feels safer. Manifestation isn’t just about desire. It’s about learning to feel safe with clarity, expansion, and the unknown.

How to Reprogram Your Frequency

You don’t change your frequency with affirmations alone. You change it through nervous system regulation, deep subconscious work, and repetition. Practices like somatic therapy, meditation, and journaling help retune your internal state, releasing old loops of fear, scarcity, and self-doubt. For me, tuning my frequency has meant unwinding ancestral fears, regulating my system moment-to-moment, and learning to inhabit clarity even when it feels unfamiliar. Over time, I’ve learned to recognize when I’m stuck on a static frequency and gently shift back toward coherence.

Tuning In to the Quantum Field

Joe Dispenza describes this tuning process as becoming energetically aligned with your future self. In Becoming Supernatural, he outlines how our thoughts and emotions influence our electromagnetic field and how entering a meditative, heart-brain coherent state can activate changes in the quantum field.5

The signal we emit begins to resonate with experiences not yet lived, drawing them into form. As he puts it in Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, “To change is to think greater than your environment… greater than the circumstances of your life, greater than the conditions in your world.”

To rewire your signal is to realign your life.

Embracing the Call

What station are you currently tuned to? If it doesn’t match the life you’re moving toward, you don’t need to force it. Just retune. Begin by noticing what you’re drawn to: the music, the images, the emotions. These are clues. You’re already broadcasting. The question is, to what? Recalibrate with intention, and you’ll begin to receive with clarity. Your life is shaped by the frequency you’re dialed into. Tune with awareness. Choose your signal. Trust that what’s meant for you will meet you there.
