Anna Bek is an American photographer and writer with a foundation in film production and a long practice of observation. Her work is defined by restraint, clarity, and an instinct for light and pacing shaped by her time as a cinematographer.
She studied at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts and Roski School of Fine Arts. She began her career filming musicians and live events, building an early body of work rooted in performance, rhythm, and place.
She works across editorial commissions and commercial projects for architecture, interiors, and design-led brands—bringing direction, logistical precision, and editorial judgement. Extended periods of living and working abroad have shaped her perspective, grounding the work in cultural immersion.
Alongside commissioned work, Anna is developing The Art of Seeing, a body of nonfiction writing at the intersection of perception, neuroscience, and photography.
Her fine art prints are released in small editions. She shares more of her personal writing on The Wild Between.
