FAQs
Each piece is designed by Anna Bek and handcrafted in small batches with heritage techniques, quality natural materials, and a deep respect for artistry. These aren’t mass-produced items; they’re soulful goods made to be lived with and last.
Our debut collection is made in collaboration with Gito Leather, a family-run atelier in Bali. We’re building long-term relationships with artisan partners in regions we’ve loved and lived in.
We use chrome-free goat leather and ethically sourced cow leather from Java, Indonesia. Hardware is solid brass, and linings are natural, unbleached cotton. Each material is chosen for tactile richness, durability, and low environmental impact. We aim for minimal waste and intentional design choices that honor the hand of the maker.
Leather evolves over time—it softens, darkens, and tells a story. Keep it away from prolonged direct sunlight or heavy rain, and use a natural leather balm as needed. A care card is included with your order for long-term maintenance.
Not quite. Because we work with natural leather and hand-finished processes, subtle variations in color, texture, or grain are part of what makes each Kaia piece one of a kind.
